Dominique Jenssen joined the lab in October 2022 in partnership with Columbia University's Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory. She is currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science at Columbia University. Her work as a research assistant focuses on the development of a red tide density algorithm and monitoring phytoplankton dynamics in the Long Island Sound. Other research interests include sustainable management of water resources; climate justice; traditional knowledge; science communication and human-ecosystem interactions.
